Rub the Aldara cream directly on the wart(s). This product should never be rubbed inside the body, taken by mouth or used in the eye. Follow these steps for optimal use and safety:
- Wash hands and open a new packet of Aldara cream just before bedtime on the appointed day.
- Apply a thin layer of cream on each wart.
- Rub the cream in until it can no longer be seen.
- Throw away the packet of cream and wash hands.
- Leave the cream on while sleeping, for 6 to 10 hours.
- In the morning, wash the cream off the area where applied with mild soap and warm water.
Do not cover warts with any type of bandage or dressing.
Missed Doses
Apply the missed dose as soon as remembered and then continue with the regular schedule.
What If Too Much Aldara Is Taken?
A thick layer of Aldara cream does not need to be applied to the wart(s). A thin layer will work just fine. If this product is applied too thickly, some mild skin irritation may be noticed.
Aldara Storage
Store Aldara in its original packets/tube, out of the reach of children and at room temperature. Keep it in an area that is free from heat, light and moisture.
