It is recommended that sexual contact be avoided while the Aldara cream is on the body. If planning to have sexual relations, wait to apply the Aldara until after any sexual activity. If the cream has already been applied, wash it off before having sex. Aldara cream can weaken condoms and diaphragms. It is not known if Aldara will lessen the chance of spreading genital warts to sexual partners; therefore, take proper precautions to ensure the safety of sexual partners.

Aldara Drug Interactions

Aldara is applied externally, so interaction with other medications is not usually a concern. However, to be safe, use of more than one genital warts treatment should be a decision made in consultation with a doctor.
